Mount Washington in New Hampshire is the highest peak in the northeast and home of the highest wind ever observed. It is also where a hardcore kiter can get stretch the northern hemisphere winter sailing season.

The Bass Strait, seperating Tasmania and mainland Australia, is a notoriously rough stretch of ocean. But as Tony Bull of Ullman Sails show us in this photo, there is also another side to the story.
