Scuttlebutt: Genuine Risk Update
(March 22, 2006) San Diego yachtsman Randall Pittman's Dubois-designed 90-foot sloop, Genuine Risk, has had better days, but not by too much. This maxi canter, that was a collaborative effort headed up by Dubois Naval Architects and included America's Cup veterans Clay Oliver and Andy Claughton, and was built by McConaghy Marine in Australia, is now firmly on the hard and for sale.
Instead of heading for the Carribean circuit this spring, the boat along with its containers and support RIB, are stored at an unused boat yard along San Diego Bay, waiting for new ownership. Photos by Scuttlebutt.
